This morning, we received a letter from Mrs Wallace which told us that this week is enterprise week! Mrs Wallace has kindly invested a starter budget of £100 for Year 4 to design, make and sell an Easter themed product.
After receiving this fanatastic opportunity we decided to brain storm ideas as business partners and carry out some market research to decide which product would be the most popular. We even looked at strengths and weaknesses of Easter toys that are already on sale.
The four popular product ideas were then put forward in a Dragon’s Den activity where the rest of the class asked a range of questions about their ideas. We asked questions about the quantity, profit, materials and design. We decided to invest in Poppy’s product idea which was a Pom Pom chick. It was agreed that this would be most profitable!
Once we had our product idea, we talked about roles in 4H’s company! We all voted on a company name and the majority of us chose ‘Easter Egg-cellent-ay!’.
With Mrs Sproule, we designed banners, logos and bunting for market day on Friday.
We can’t wait to start designing and creating our product.

I thought it was a great idea of doing pom pom chicks. Poppy was very smart because everyone loves chicks ( they are so cute ). When we make them I’m sure all of 4H will love it and take part in creating and selling

We really like the idea of pompom chicks.They are so creative Poppy! Amazing work is included in this class. Give us a big round if applause.I believe this is the best class. Especially Poppy. But the other classes will always have a place in our hearts.

I like Poppy’s idea of chicks ,lambs,bunny rabbits and all we need is pipe cleaners and foam ,paper,card,wool instructions to make a Pom Pom
With your card you need to cut out a circle
Rap the wool around the card
Make a knot
Put the googly eyes on the Pom Pom put the beak on
All I like is making stuff all I don’t like is designing nooooooo I don’t really that is the best thing
your idea POPPY is amaizing we didnt have a clue to do but i thought of a globe painted as an egg with flaivous on the side and when you open the flavour it wil be choclate bar of that flavour that you open.
