We have been very busy in Year One practising our Christmas play in readiness for next week`s performances. The children have been amazing and looking forward to showing off their talents. Thanks to all those who have sent in their costumes.
Our topic on Autumn is coming to an end now that Winter is here. We are currently exploring the Owl Babies story and writing our own versions. In maths we have been learning to use the appropriate vocabulary of measures (heavier, lighter, longer, taller, shorter, faster, slower, etc. ) You all did a great job with the maths homework last week (finding out how many things you can fit into your hands).
This week`s homework is missing numbers. We still need to practise writing our numbers the right way round so this gives us another opportunity to get this perfect before next term when we move on to multiplication (2`s, 5`s, 10`s).
In our last week DHS students are coming to teach us a french Xmas song as part of our French morning. Very exciting! So…from Year One A bientot ……
