We are having a very busy time learning about Kenya! We have been looking at maps to find out where Kenya is and have been writing facts all about it. We were very lucky to have Mrs Hull come to each class to talk about her holiday to Kenya. She brought in lots of souvenirs and told us lots of information about the people she met.
We have been reading a book called Handa’s Surpirse and have been talking about all the delicious fruits that are in the story. We have written the names of the fruits, done observational paintings of the fruits and even made a fruit salad! At the beginning of the week, we tasted each of the fruits and we then designed a fruit salad. We had a go at using a knife to cut up the fruit. We made sure that we were very careful!
