We had a very exciting afternoon on Thursday when firefighters from Droitwich Fire Station came to visit us!
We all sat in the hall and Andy talked to us about the different jobs that they have to do. He also told us what we need to do at home to keep our homes safe. One of his colleagues, Sean, was dressed in his firefighting uniform and told us what each bit was for. He then put his breathing mask on and showed us what he looks and sounds like when he has to go to a fire.
Then we went onto the playground to see the fire engine which was great!! It was really big and they have so much equipment inside! We were told what all the equipment was for, what tools they have and then we looked at the hose’s that they use.
We really enjoyed our afternoon and we learned so much about how firefighters help us!
THANK YOU to Andy and all of his colleagues for coming to visit- it was great!
