On Wednesday 36 children jumped on their coach and left to visit Malvern outdoor center. While the other children were at Malvern we have stayed behind and transformed the quiet area on the junior playground.
First we walked to the Lido to get inspiration for our quiet area and have a sneaky play! When we returned we painted the fencing yellow and blue and made our planters from plastic bottles and old, odd wellies!
On Thursday we made bird feeders and fruit Jelly in the morning and during the afternoon we wrote invitations and created dream catchers for the area. Unfortunately the weather was a little damp and drizzly so we couldn’t do anymore painting!
The sun shone on Friday for our final outdoor day, in the morning we painted stones and planted more flowers. Then we did an orienteering challenge around the school grounds and used Witton’s adventure trail. “The morning was really fun, I enjoyed painting the stones, planting all the flowers and having fun on the adventure trail” said Solomon 4HN. We are about to get ready for our party and enjoy our fruit jelly and cakes. We hope you enjoy using our quiet area in the future.
