This week we have been exploring the ‘Funny Bones’ books by Janet & Allan Ahlberg. As well as this, the children have been building on last week’s learning of recognising and rehearsing different play scripts.
We would like the children to use their knowledge of these books and their additional skills to become play writers themselves. Please encourage your child to talk to you about which Funny Bones book they enjoyed the most and why. Once they have discussed the title/ plot etc with you, they could decide how they would go about turning it into a play script.
Think at home about:
- play script layout
- stage direction
- using scenes
- dialogue
- characters
In class they will be asked to turn a Funny Bones story into a play script.
