Curriculum objective: To select adventurous vocabulary for effect.
Task: Next week we will be learning to describe something in great detail using ‘slo-mo’ writing. We will be using small clips from the film ‘Ice Age’ to do this. At home you could practice explaining something in great detail. You could use a short film clip (5-10 mins max.) of your choosing or something you did earlier in the day.
Example taken from the ‘Ice age’ Rhino scene:
As the feisty rhinos charged towards the colossal mammoth, the dust rises behind their stomping feet. Their tough, sharp horns lock together before the mammoth starts to slide backwards through the sand and dusty terrain.
