We were learning about Kenya which is a country in Africa.We found out that they live in straw houses and their skin is brown/black.Every week they celebrate the harvest. We listened to a book called ‘Handa’s Surprise’ which is about a girl who lives in Kenya.
In boot camp we made a trail using sticks to make the trail and Jake and Evie made a brilliant house using sticks, leaves, string and a feather.Mackenzie and Archie also made a lovely trail and house.
In numeracy, we have been learning about halves and quarters. Evie says four groups with the same amount in make quarters. James says that for halves it needs to be two lots of the same amount to make halves
Emma says today we celebrated World Book Day. We came dressed as our favorite book character.
