Reception had a great morning when Green Watch from Droitwich Fire Station came to visit us as part of our ‘People who help us’ topic. We have been learning all about the emergency services and what to do if there is an emergency and during our writing sessions we have been busy writing questions to ask our visitors.
We had a talk from Andy in the hall and he told us all about what firefighters have to do as they don’t just put out fires! One of the other firefighters then showed us what they have to wear and even wore his breathing apparatus.
We then went on to the playground to see the fire engine which we were so excited about! There is so much equipment in there and some of us had a go at using the cutters!
We had a super morning and we all learned so much information about firefighters.
