We have been learning about hand washing this week! Jacqui, one of the school nurse team, came to visit us to teach us all about why we have to wash our hands and how to wash them properly.
We started off by talking about germs. We found out that they are so small we can’t see them but they are everywhere! Jacqui then put glitter on some of our hands and we gave each other a high five to see how the glitter spread onto each other’s hands! That’s why it is so important to wash our hands after we’ve sneezed!!
We then put special cream on our hands and then looked at them under the lightbox. Our hands were bright white!! We then had to go and wash our hands properly (remembering our thumbs and fingertips!) and then looked at them again under the lightbox. We all did a really good job because we could hardly see any white left on our hands!!!
