Week beginning 23.3.15
In our classes this week we have been learning to measure to the nearest centimetre (cm) and millimetre (mm). For homework we would like you to find some things from around the house to measure with a ruler or tape measure. Try to find a range of things that are different sizes to challenge your skills.
Before you measure, estimate (guess) how long you think the measurement will be.
- Could you measure the length, width and height of the things you choose?
- Can you work out the difference between your estimate and the actual measurement to see how close you were?
- Also remember to keep doing a little bit of practice on your learn-its and times tables over the Easter holidays.
