For the last few weeks, Reception have been learning about traditional tales. The children have learnt their own version of The Gingerbread Man and have really enjoyed baking gingerbread. We are currently reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears and the children are looking forward to making porridge next week!
In phonics, we have been recapping previously learnt ‘tricky words’ and the sounds C, K, E, U, R, H, B, F, L. We will be introducing new sounds next week. In maths, we are now up to ‘amazing eight’ in our ‘Numberzoo’ story.
The children have also been practicing their Christmas play and with only a few weeks to go, the children can’t wait to perform in front of their grown-ups!
